MILWAUKEE, WIS. - The Providence College women's soccer team defeated the Marquette Golden Eagles on Sunday, Oct. 8 in Milwaukee, Wis. The Friars claimed their third BIG EAST victory of the season and move to 8-6-0 overall (3-2-0 BIG EAST).

GAME FLOW & NOTES
1st Half
- Amber Birchwell took on Marquette goalkeeper Maddy Henry in a 1v1 duel to put the Friars on the board. Birchwell was slotted a ball from Theresa Durkee (Salem, Conn.).

2nd Half
- The Friars put in an impressive defensive effort in the second half to keep the Golden Eagles scoreless. Goalkeeper Shelby Hogan (Franklin, Mass.) recorded six saves in the game to earn her fifth shutout of the season.
